Dressing Table & Stool- Turn Your Face To The Sun
Price includes free England delivery (excluding Scotland and Wales, please contact me to enquire if delivery is possible for these) Please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery though it is usually much faster.
Painted in thick layers of Annie Sloan chalk paint in off white, palest pink and turquoise (I always sand items prior to painting to ensure the paint adheres nicely.) The decoration features an antique floral botanical painting. The decoupage has been made by myself and printed in fade-resistant ink designed to last up to 100 years before any fading occurs. I have then hand-painted over the top to blend all of the components together in thick, textured layers. The paint finish has been distressed, back to wood in some places and to reveal the blue undercoat. I aim to create the feel of a genuinely aged bohemian piece. The text reads, in the undercoat ‘turn your face to the sun’.
The stool seat has been replaced with thick ply and is similarly decorated and sturdy and sound.
Finally varnished with a floor varnish to provide a durable finish.
This is an Antique refurbished piece and though sturdy and sound, It may have life marks, dinks, knocks etc. The drawers slide smoothly. The original handles remain with a lovely aged patina. No woodworm. The insides are good and clean, no odour . The mirror's tilting mechanism has gone but it can be easily propped. The outer mirrors cab be turned inwards. The silvering of the mirror has some marks and clouding it is speckled in places but this blends in to the overall distressed finish.
