Upcycled vintage table-top, now art for the wall!
Painted in thick layers of paint. The image combines antique images; waterhouse's mermaid and a 17th century Dutch still life and have been printed, by myself, in fade resistant ink. All applied, using the decoupage technique. I have then painted across the top in very thick, textured layers and then distressed this, in some areas back to wood. The text reads in the colour of the undercoat.
Finally varnished and with a wire on the back so it's ready to hang on the wall.
This is made from vintage materials, there is a little wedge of table missing from the bottom right corner so the corner isn't quite square.
