Small vintage, lightweight drawers. The decoupage has been made by myself and has been printed in fade-resistant ink designed to last up to 100 years before any fading occurs. Then I have painted over the top to blend all of the components together. The text reads, in the pink of the undercoat ‘Shine bright’.
Distressed all over to reveal glimpses of the undercoats and back to wood in some areas to age it. I paint thickly, with texture to create the feel of a genuinely aged bohemian piece that retains the spirit of the furniture.
I have replaced the handles with ceramic yellow rose pulls and on the top drawer vintage brass pulls salvaged from another piece.
Finally varnished with a floor varnish to provide a durable finish.
This is a vintage refurbished piece and so may have life marks, dinks, knocks etc. It is sturdy and sound but not a heavyweight piece. Lightweight oak veneer and the insides are ply wood. The insides are good and clean with no odour though a couple of ink spots. The drawers all slide easily.
