Upcycled vintage table-top, now art for the wall!
Painted in thick layers of paint. The images are two separate antique illustrations and have been printed, by myself, in fade resistant ink. You can still see the pencilled ‘1902’ from the original rose illustration. These have been applied using the decoupage technique. I have then painted across the top in very thick, textured layers and then distressed this, in some areas back to wood. The text reads in the colour of the undercoat.
Finally varnished and with a wire on the back so it's ready to hang on the wall.
65cm high, 54cm wide and 3cm thick
It weighs around 6kg.
